The Norwegian Guitartrio consists of three of Norway's foremost classical guitar players, Njål Vindenes, Egil Haugland and Øyvind Lyslo. The three of them are both pursuing a soloist career, in addition to performing in different musical ensembles, participating in recordings and other productions. The Norwegian Guitartrio has built a varied and unique repertoire consisting of classical works in transcriptions, arrangements, original compositions, Norwegian, Spanish and Latin American music.
A concert with The Norwegian Guitartrio projects the classical guitar as both an intimate and brilliant instrument, yet including powerful capabilities when in demand.
The Norwegian Guitartrio has played concerts at many festivals, like Cambridge International Guitarfestival, The International Guitarfestival in Gloppen, Kongsberg Jazz Festival, in addition to numerous public concerts in Norway. They have toured extensively for the Norwegian Concert Institute (Rikskonsertene), as well as appeared on Norwegian television (NRK1).
The Norwegian Guitartrio will also appear at the Bergen International Guitarfestival 2007!
